Inhalt	"Do I have to say bathroom or can I say restroom, too?" - "Is it footpath, sidewalk or pavement?“ - "What is correct?“ As there are at least as many Englishes as English native speaking countries, it’s not always easy to have an answer at your fingertips. In this workshop we will trace the origin of all those present day Englishes, look at what "Standard English“ is and look at ways to address linguistic variation in a classroom setting. We’ll use examples from a variety of teaching materials, so you’ll have that competitive edge next time you’re faced with such tricky questions.
